I'm wading thru this "disturbing?" example of chick lit and I have to say its dire,the recommendation "you'll find it very disturbing pal" should have warned me off but when did I ever listen.smile
Its repetative,boring,disjointed and choc full of unnecessary overally detailed descriptions of a characters body,and their surroundings even their food and shopping is covered in minute detail!.
I am determined to finish the damned thing {because I might have to discuss it later}.But this is 1 will be glad to see the back of.
I have to agree it's quite horrible. It was required reading for some literature class or other a few semesters ago. I never finished the thing though...found the cliff notes and wrote a pretty good report. But the parts I did read were quite ridiculous.
I skipped the chapter and went straight to the ending as the whole thing just riled me,and to think its considered to be a work of literay genuis.
